Alena Hron Makes Her Subscription Debut with the Prague Symphony Orchestra

Alena Hron will make her subscription season debut with the Prague Symphony Orchestra on the 6, 7 and 10 November 2024. The subscription concerts at Prague’s Smetana Hall and Brno’s Besední dům feature Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem, with pianist Karel Košárek, soprano Lada Bočková, tenor Pavel Černoch and the Czech Philharmonic Choir of Brno.

Her first encounter with the orchestra at the Prague Spring International Music Festival last season was hailed by critics as triumphant: “A fundamental part of [Prague Symphony’s] exceptionally motivated and excellent playing clearly needs to be attributed to the conductor: subtle, yet able to inspire, lead and command.” (Klasika Plus). This successful performance resulted in an immediate re-invitation.
